A Short History
​
Helen's Bay Presbyterian Church is a small church located in the seaside town of Helen's Bay, County Down, Northern Ireland. The church was founded in 1880 as a mission outpost of Knock Presbyterian Church, and it quickly became an important part of the local community.
​
In the early years the church met in a local schoolhouse and was served by visiting ministers. However, in 1885, the church purchased a piece of land on which to build its own church building. The building was completed in 1887, and it served as the home of the congregation for over a century.

Throughout its history, Helen's Bay Presbyterian Church has played an active role in the local community, hosting a variety of events and activities aimed at bringing people together and sharing the message of the Gospel.
In recent years, the church has undergone some changes and renovations to modernize the building and attract new members. Despite these changes, however, Helen's Bay Presbyterian Church remains committed to its traditional values and mission.
Today, it continues to serve as a beacon of hope and faith in the Helen's Bay community and beyond.

At Helen's Bay Presbyterian Church, our mission is to create a community of believers who are rooted in Christ, growing in faith, and actively serving others. We strive to accomplish this mission by providing opportunities for worship, prayer, and fellowship, as well as by offering various ministries and programs that meet the needs of our congregation and the wider community.
